Dubai is going green

The Emirate of Dubai has started 2012 by planning a multimillion green energy project. On the 31st of December 2011 officials had in fact announced a solar energy park to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and start decreasing their carbon footprint as well. Wind power in Japan survives after nuclear disaster

As it says in the Japan Wind Energy Association,  there was not wind turbine damaged during the earthquake,  tsunami and nuclear accident in Japan. Tsunamis  and earthquakes are quite common in the history of Japan so they have added 22 MW in 2010 and there are 2,304 MW installed throughout the country.
