Planting roses

Are roses your favorite plants but you do not know the exact procedures of planting them? It is said that roses are the queens of the gardens but not everybody knows how to plant them and it is not easy to keep them for long. Here we wanted to give you some tips on how to plant rose trees and how to preserve some roses such as the climbing roses for longer.

First of all, you have to choose the colours you like most and the ones that are most adequate with your gardens. There are a lot of varieties of colours but also depends on the place you want to put them in your garden to preserve the equilibrium. Also, you need to check the sunny spots but be careful with the wind since roses do not like too much wind. In the website rose you can find a lot of information about types of roses and also some techniques on planting roses.

Once you decide the place and the colors you must know that they can be planted throughout all the year but only the ones grown in pots, for the outdoor roses, the best period is autumn.

Another thing very important when planting is to check the kind of soil. Roses are very special and they like clayey soil. However, it is better to make a hole before planting the rose and fill it with soil special for roses to make sure they will last longer. Also, above the soil it is advisable to cover the soil with leaves after you have planted the roses since they are very delicate and can suffer if there is frost.

There are also different treatments depending on the kind of roses you want to plant. For example, climbing roses require extra care if they are planted against the wall. Near the structures there are not a lot of nutrients for the plants so the soil must have more quality and the fertilizer must be special. Also, they must not be too close to the wall since the soil will be very dry.

Last but not least, remember that the pruning season for roses is March or April and after these months they will require more water.
